Born and raised in the calm, picturesque mountains of Southwest Virginia. Cindy is a proud alumna of Lindsey Wilson College’s School of Professional Counseling. Here, she achieved both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Education in Human Development, specializing in Mental Health, between 2008 and 2010.
With a career in mental health that began in 2006, Cindy brings over a decade of rich, diversified experience to her practice. She has worked in various settings, including psychiatric inpatient care, school environments, crisis intervention, group homes, corrections, intensive in-home therapy, and counselor supervision. Her extensive background has equipped her with profound insights into a wide range of therapeutic contexts.
Cindy is dedicated to serving a diverse clientele, including children and teens aged 10 and above, as well as young and older adults. She employs a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to meet individual needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), (EMDR), faith-based counseling, exposure therapy, Socratic questioning, coaching, shadow work, and traditional psychotherapy.

Cindy is an EMDR Informed clinician currently working toward full EMDR certification. While not yet certified, Cindy incorporates EMDR principles into her therapeutic practice, helping clients process trauma and emotional distress. This approach offers support to those dealing with PTSD, anxiety, and other challenges, providing a pathway to healing and resilience as she continues to deepen her expertise in EMDR therapy.
